Coastal Zones and Estuaries

These images show field processed data of rivers and coastal estuaries.  Rivers have long been difficult to map, due to water being too shallow for efficient coverage by boats with MBES, and LiDAR systems struggling to get good returns in very shallow water and turbid water conditions.

There have been new advancements in Bathymetric LiDAR technology, leading to true high resolution shallow water systems and enhanced turbid water technology.   Combining these with the field management and processing skills which Coastal Hydrographic can provide, mean that data is now able to be collected in areas where it was previously unable to be achieved by Airborne Bathymetric LiDAR.
